Summer-ary

It's the summer roundup. I'll get to the spring eventually.

Staying for summer semester was one of the strangest choices I've made in my life. I would not suggest summer semester to anyone; it's hot, there aren't a lot of classes, and I'd rather be vacationing and vegging. Not taking a full load. Not away from home. Not missing family trips.

But it was great. It was terrible and it was great. I had more fun this summer than possibly any other summer because I was busy and I was spending time with people that I cared about. I got a job delivering puppies (puppiesforrent.com check it out, seriously) and I got to room with Alison for another semester! Spencer moved out, but he was only a 37 mile drive away, so I got to see him. I submitted mission papers and received my call. And after the weirdest summer, the best summer, I moved home. I've been here three weeks, and tomorrow I start a new adventure.

Day before spring move-out: (Alison and I stayed in the same room, which was fantastic.)

Spencer and I worked FOREVER to get a blurred picture of rolling down the hill.

After move-out, Alison and Sierra (JuJu Bee) and I took pictures around SLC. I'm so glad I live in the beautiful state of Utah.

And then, in June, I went home for the first time since March.
A desert tortoise we ran across on the "turtle wall" trail. Taco and Deets tried to get to him; luckily, he was protected by a nice biker.

And the whole family was there. :)

Back at school, and I start my puppy job.

And Alison and I went to Idaho to see my Grandpa and Katie, as well as Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. It was her first time. :)

And suddenly, I was moving out.
Writing a note to Alison. My room is all packed up.

And home.

And then I got to go through the temple and receive my endowment preparatory to leaving on my mission. It was a beautiful, beautiful day. I was lucky to have my wonderful mom and my good friend Shari come with me.

I am so blessed and happy.
